Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, known for his prolific career with up to four film releases annually, has recently faced a series of box office disappointments. Despite the setbacks of his last two films, Kumar is candid about how these failures have affected him and his approach to future projects.
In a recent interview with Forbes India, Kumar discussed his ongoing streak of 16 box office flops, including his latest film, Safira. He shared his thoughts on handling failures, stating, “Each film involves immense effort and passion. It’s disheartening when a film doesn’t succeed, but it’s crucial to find the silver lining. Every failure teaches the value of success and fuels the drive to achieve it.”
Kumar emphasized the importance of resilience, saying, “While failures can be painful and impact you, they don’t determine the fate of your career. What matters is working harder, making improvements, and dedicating yourself fully to your next project. I focus my energy on what I can control and move forward with renewed determination.”
He also noted how the pandemic has influenced his choice of films, saying, “The pandemic has altered the film industry’s landscape. With audiences now more selective, choosing projects that offer unique and compelling entertainment has become essential. I’ve become more discerning about content to ensure it resonates with contemporary audiences and provides a valuable cinema experience.”
