MCC Adds 614 New Seats for NEET UG Counselling 2024 Second Round
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has added 614 new seats for the second round of NEET UG Counselling 2024. These newly added seats are spread across medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Telangana. Candidates can view the updated seat list on the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in.
State-Wise Seat Distribution
According to the official announcement, the distribution of the newly added seats is as follows:
- Andhra Pradesh: 7 new seats in 5 medical colleges
- Maharashtra: 7 new seats in 4 medical colleges
- Telangana: 600 new seats in 8 medical colleges, with half of these seats reserved exclusively for female candidates.

Virtual Vacancies Announced
In addition to the newly added seats, the MCC has released a list of 6,947 virtual vacancies for round two of admissions into MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc. Nursing programs. These virtual seats are available across a wide range of states and territories, including:
- Andaman and Nicobar Islands
- Assam
- Chhattisgarh
- Goa
- Jammu and Kashmir
- Karnataka
- Tamil Nadu
- West Bengal
- And many more…
New Deemed University Status for Institutions
In a separate notice dated September 7, the MCC announced that it has been informed by the UGC of four institutions being granted Deemed to be University status. These institutions will now be included in the seat matrix for Round 2 of UG Counselling 2024. The institutions and their seat availability are:
- Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad: 200 MBBS seats
- Malla Reddy Medical College for Women, Hyderabad: 200 MBBS seats
- Malla Reddy Institute of Dental Sciences, Hyderabad: 100 BDS seats
- Malla Reddy Dental College for Women, Hyderabad: 100 BDS seats
