Kharge’s Remarks Spark Controversy
During a public rally in Jammu and Kashmir, Kharge, aged 83, fainted while addressing the audience. After resuming his speech, Kharge remarked, “I am not going to die so early. I will stay alive till Modi is removed from power.” Shah responded to these comments by saying that they reflect the “hate and fear” Congress harbors towards PM Modi.
Shah’s Response and Wishes for Kharge’s Health
Amit Shah criticized Kharge’s statement, noting that dragging PM Modi into his personal health matters was unnecessary. “It just shows how much hate and fear these Congress people have of PM Modi,” Shah said. He further expressed prayers for Kharge’s health, wishing him a long and healthy life, and hoping that Kharge lives to witness the realization of a developed India by 2047.

Following the rally incident, Kharge’s son and Karnataka minister, Priyank Kharge, shared an update on his father’s condition. In a post on X, Priyank Kharge mentioned that his father is doing well, apart from slightly low blood pressure. He expressed gratitude for everyone’s concern and shared that Kharge’s determination, along with public support, keeps him going strong.

Prime Minister Modi later reached out to Mallikarjun Kharge over the phone to inquire about his health, showcasing a gesture of concern amidst the political clash.
