Tajinder Bagga, a BJP leader often surrounded by controversy, has entered the Bigg Boss 18 house. During the grand premiere of the show’s latest season, host Salman Khan confirmed Bagga’s participation.
Tajinder Bagga, 38, has long been active in Indian politics. He leads the Uttarakhand wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s youth arm, Yuva Morcha, and has also served as its national secretary.
Starting young, Bagga joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a teenager. In 2011, he founded the Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena, a group he claimed was fighting corruption. His public profile surged after he disrupted a book launch by Arundhati Roy and slapped lawyer Prashant Bhushan in the Supreme Court office.
Bagga gained more attention after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 2014 election victory. A visit by PM Modi to Bagga’s home in 2015 boosted his social media influence, where he became known as a “Twitter troll” for his provocative posts.

A History of Controversy
Bagga’s tweets have often sparked outrage. In 2018, he mocked actress Swara Bhaskar for a scene in Veere Di Wedding. In 2020, he criticized Deepika Padukone for supporting students at Jawaharlal Nehru University after violence erupted there. He has consistently targeted Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal.
In the 2020 Delhi assembly elections, Bagga lost to AAP candidate Raj Kumari Dhillon.

This season, 18 contestants are competing for the Bigg Boss trophy and a hefty cash prize. Along with Bagga, notable participants include Karan Veer Mehra, Vivian Dsena, and Eisha Singh, among others. As always, Salman Khan is hosting the show, a role he’s held since 2010. Last season saw comedian Munawar Faruqui take the crown.
