The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) have announced the exam dates for Junior Engineer (JE), Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP), RPF Sub-Inspector (SI), and Technician posts. This information was released through an official notice on October 7, 2024.
RRB JE Exam Schedule
The Junior Engineer (JE) exam will take place from December 6 to December 13, 2024. This exam aims to fill 7,951 vacancies, including Junior Engineers, Depot Material Superintendents (DMS), Chemical & Metallurgical Assistants (CMA), Chemical Supervisors (Research), and Metallurgical Supervisors (Research).
Among these, 17 positions are open for Chemical Supervisor/Research and Metallurgical Supervisor/Research posts under RRB Gorakhpur. The remaining 7,934 positions are for Junior Engineers, DMS, and CMA posts.
Examination Format
The recruitment process includes two Computer-Based Tests (CBTs), followed by document verification and a medical exam. Candidates should note there is a negative marking of 1/3rd for each incorrect answer in the CBTs.
Registration and Modification
The registration process ran from July 30 to August 29, 2024. A modification window was available from August 30 to September 8, 2024, allowing applicants to make corrections by paying a modification fee.
ALP, RPF SI, and Technician Exam Dates
The RRB has also confirmed the exam dates for the ALP, RPF SI, and Technician posts. The ALP exam will be held from November 25 to November 29, 2024. The RPF SI exam will take place from December 2 to December 5, 2024. The Technician exam is scheduled from December 10 to December 12, 2024.
