Abdullah School at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) hosted an inter-school art competition to celebrate the birth anniversary of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, the university’s founder. The event brought together young talents from different schools to showcase their creativity.
In the portrait-making competition, Halima Sharif from AMU City Girls School won first place. Govind from RMPS AMU City School secured the second prize, while Mohd Mahad from AMU Abdullah School and Tanmay Chaturvedy from STS School shared the third prize. Drishti Singh (AMU ABK School Girls) and Samar Sharma (AMU ABK School Boys) received consolation prizes for their impressive efforts.
The competition also featured a contest for drawing AMU buildings. Umrah from AMU ABK School Girls earned the first prize, while Wajiha Hilal (AMU Abdullah School) and Arish (AMU ABK School Boys) shared the second prize. Aliya Irshad of AMU Girls School took third place. Consolation prizes were awarded to Mohd Mudassir (STS School) and Farhan Malik (RMPS AMU City School) for their remarkable drawings.
Prof. Asfar Ali Khan, the Director of AMU’s Directorate of School Education, served as the chief guest. In his speech, he encouraged students to excel in their studies and become future torchbearers of Sir Syed’s educational vision.
Prof. Anis Jahan praised the students for their creativity. Mrs. Umra Zaheer, the School Superintendent, and Mrs. Tanveer Badar urged students to keep participating in such competitions, emphasizing the importance of all-round development.
Ms. Lubna Imtiaz, the Cultural Coordinator, extended a vote of thanks, and Mr. Mohd Merajuddin (Nadwi) conducted the event with great enthusiasm.
