AAP’s Campaign Video Calls Kejriwal “The Ideal Brother”
With Delhi elections around the corner, AAP has intensified its outreach with a new campaign video promoting the Mahila Samman Yojana. The scheme promises ₹2,100 per month to every woman in the capital.
Sharing the video on social media platform X, AAP wrote:
“Now money will not be a hindrance for small needs, brother will send ₹2,100 every month. A brother should be like this, like Kejriwal…”
The campaign video shows a woman using the extra money from the scheme to buy a shampoo bottle — a symbolic nod to how small financial assistance can improve daily life.
BJP Slams the Scheme as a “Fraud”
The BJP reacted sharply to AAP’s announcement, labeling the Mahila Samman Yojana “fraudulent” and accusing the party of misleading voters ahead of the Delhi polls.
The BJP’s Delhi unit issued a statement, claiming that the promise was a “desperate attempt to lure women voters” with unrealistic promises.
Kejriwal: “This Money Will Help Women Fulfill Their Aspirations”
Defending the scheme, Arvind Kejriwal said the initiative was designed to help women manage household expenses, pursue higher education, and fulfill personal aspirations.
“We know how hard mothers and sisters work. Many manage their households while also working outside. This ₹2,100 will help daughters complete their college education and enable housewives to handle rising expenses or buy something for themselves,” Kejriwal said during a press conference.
Registration Process to Start Tomorrow
Kejriwal also announced that registration for the scheme would begin tomorrow, with AAP teams visiting households to register women and provide them with Mahila Samman Cards.
“There’s no need to stand in long lines or waste time. Our teams will come to your homes, register you, and give you the card. Keep this card safe,” he said.
