BJP Escalates Attack on Arvind Kejriwal
As the Delhi Assembly election nears, BJP leader Virendra Sachdeva intensified his criticism of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He labeled him a “liar” and accused him of having a “kaali zubaan” (black tongue).
Sachdeva said Kejriwal’s promises have repeatedly turned false. “The only prediction that came true was his party members, including him, going to jail,” he remarked.
Kejriwal Accused of Breaking Promises
Sachdeva highlighted unfulfilled promises made by Kejriwal. He recalled Kejriwal’s pledge not to take government perks, including cars and bungalows.
“Kejriwal swore on his children that he wouldn’t accept any government car, bungalow, or security. Today, he must explain whose life and promises were lost,” Sachdeva said. He also pointed out that women in Punjab were promised ₹1,000 monthly allowances, which never materialized.
Yamuna Pollution and ‘Kaali Zubaan’ Remark
The BJP leader slammed Kejriwal for failing to clean the Yamuna River. “He promised to take a dip with his entire cabinet once the river was clean. Has he done it? His words hold no truth. His name itself means lies,” Sachdeva stated.
Sachdeva further said Kejriwal’s predictions about party members like Satyendar Jain, Manish Sisodia, and Sanjay Singh going to jail had come true.
AAP Responds with Protests
Amid the ongoing verbal spat, AAP leaders staged protests outside the former CM’s residence, dubbed “Sheesh Mahal” by BJP. They also attempted to march to the Prime Minister’s residence, calling it a “Raj Mahal.”
Police stopped the AAP workers at both locations, leading to sit-in protests.
Delhi Election Schedule
The Delhi Assembly election will be held in a single phase on February 5. Votes will be counted on February 8.
AAP, which won the last two terms with huge margins, faces a tough contest from BJP and Congress this time.
