During a recent Q&A session on X, a user attempted to troll Chopra by asking, “How many centuries have you scored in international cricket?” Chopra’s witty reply was quick and sharp: “Same as the number of games you played for your state. None.”
Chopra’s Thoughts on India’s T20I Squad
The BCCI recently announced India’s squad for the five-match T20I series against England. Suryakumar Yadav retained his position as captain, while Axar Patel was named vice-captain in place of Hardik Pandya.
Chopra shared his views on this selection during his YouTube session. “Axar Patel has been appointed vice-captain. He wasn’t given many chances earlier, and it seemed unfair. The selection committee’s decision ensures he will play and complete his bowling quota now,” Chopra said.
He praised Axar’s role in India’s World Cup victory. “Axar played a huge role in winning the World Cup, including in the final. Yet, he wasn’t given enough opportunities to bowl or bat. Now, he can discuss strategies with Surya and ensure he bowls three to four overs,” he added.
Upcoming T20I Series Details
The five-match T20I series against England will begin on January 22 in Kolkata. After the T20Is, the teams will compete in a three-match ODI series. The series promises intense cricket action as India looks to continue its winning momentum.
