AAP Alleges BJP Attack on Arvind Kejriwal’s Car
AAP accused BJP workers of attacking Arvind Kejriwal’s car with stones during his Delhi election campaign. The incident has sparked fresh conflict between the two parties.
According to AAP, BJP’s New Delhi candidate, Parvesh Verma, orchestrated the attack to disrupt Kejriwal’s campaign. The party posted on X, accusing BJP of using “goons” to target Kejriwal out of fear of defeat.
Manish Sisodia, a senior AAP leader, condemned the attack. He criticized BJP’s tactics, stating, “If BJP cannot counter Kejriwal’s work, they resort to such low-level politics. The public will respond strongly.”
BJP Denies Allegations, Counters Claims
BJP leader Parvesh Verma denied AAP’s claims. Instead, he accused Kejriwal of injuring BJP workers. Verma alleged Kejriwal’s car hit two workers, breaking one’s leg.
“This is shameful behavior by Kejriwal,” Verma said. He added that BJP plans to file charges against him for the alleged incident.
Security Concerns for Kejriwal
Video footage from the scene shows protesters surrounding Kejriwal’s SUV. A stone hit the car’s roof, but Kejriwal remained unharmed.
Amid heightened security concerns, Kejriwal, a Z-plus protectee, said, “God will save me. I will live as long as destined.” His security detail includes 63 personnel and support from Central Armed Police Forces.
Past Incidents of Attacks
This is not the first time Kejriwal has faced an attack. In November, a man threw liquid at him during a padyatra. AAP alleged the attacker had links to BJP.
With elections nearing, the clash between AAP and BJP continues to escalate, leaving the public waiting for answers.
