
AAP MP Malwinder Singh Kang has called for an urgent discussion in Lok Sabha on the rising cases of drug smuggling in Punjab. On Tuesday, he submitted a notice for adjournment of proceedings to highlight the issue.
Centre Must Act Against Drug Smuggling
Malwinder Singh Kang demanded a debate on the Centre’s measures to counter the growing illegal drug deliveries via drones from Pakistan. In his notice, he emphasized Punjab’s ongoing anti-drug drive and the state government’s efforts to curb the menace.
CM Mann’s Appeal to Amit Shah
Kang also reminded the House that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had earlier written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. In his letter, CM Mann urged the Centre to prevent drones from smuggling drugs into Punjab.
AAP continues to push for stronger security measures along the International Border to tackle cross-border drug trafficking.
