AAP’s Ultimatum to INDIA Bloc
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) issued a stern warning today. It plans to ask the INDIA alliance to remove Congress if the party fails to act against its Delhi leader, Ajay Maken.
Accusations Against Congress
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and AAP MP Sanjay Singh accused Congress of supporting BJP. Singh alleged Ajay Maken followed BJP’s agenda and targeted AAP leaders under its influence. “Maken crossed all limits by calling Arvind Kejriwal anti-national,” he said.
Singh highlighted that Congress never called BJP leaders in Delhi “anti-national.” Yet, Youth Congress filed complaints against Kejriwal.
Past Alliance Troubles
AAP and Congress had previously joined hands for the Lok Sabha polls in Delhi. Despite campaigning together, BJP won all seven seats in the city. Singh reminded that AAP had supported Congress in elections but received no courtesy in return.
In Haryana, AAP tried to ally with Congress but failed. Even then, AAP refrained from attacking Congress leaders during the campaign, Singh said.
AAP Demands Action
Singh demanded Congress act against Ajay Maken within 24 hours. If not, AAP will urge INDIA alliance partners to expel Congress from the bloc. He emphasized, “All limits have been crossed.”
Atishi accused Congress of collaborating with BJP. She questioned why Congress has never filed complaints against BJP but acts aggressively against AAP.
Congress’s Counterattack
Delhi Congress recently released a 12-point white paper criticizing AAP and BJP for mismanaging Delhi. Ajay Maken accused AAP of corruption and failing to deliver promises like Janlokpal. He called Kejriwal a “king of fraud” and labeled his governance as deceptive.
Political Rivalry Deepens
AAP and Congress remain fierce rivals in Delhi and Punjab. AAP ended Congress’s 15-year rule in Delhi by defeating Sheila Dikshit. The hostility between the two parties continues to shape Delhi’s political landscape as the assembly elections approach.
