Internship Overview
Amazon offers a six-month, in-person Software Development Engineer (SDE) Internship, ideal for fresh tech talent. Selected interns will work closely with experienced SDEs, contributing to Amazon’s dynamic projects. Through hands-on tasks, interns will enhance Amazon’s technology while learning in a real-world environment.
Interns will be part of impactful projects, exploring fields like distributed systems, data mining, automation, and scalability. With a dedicated mentor and manager, interns gain both technical and professional skills.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on innovative products with cross-functional teams.
- Design and build scalable technology in a distributed computing environment.
- Implement predictions on distributed systems, focusing on scalability and speed.
- Develop scalable storage, indexing, and query systems.
- Deliver high-quality software solutions in an agile setting.
Internship Details
- Duration: 24 weeks (full-time, 40 hours/week)
- Start Date: Between July and December 2025, as per university schedule
- Commitment: Full-time availability is required during the internship period.
Basic Qualifications
- Understanding of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, operating systems, algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis)
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Java, or Perl
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
