Amit Shah Accuses Waqf Board of Land Grabbing
Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized the Waqf Board for grabbing land. Speaking at a rally in Baghmara, Jharkhand, he stressed the need to amend the Waqf Act. Shah alleged the board seized properties belonging to farmers, villagers, and temples.
“The Waqf Board has grabbed land across Karnataka and other states. Tell me, should we not bring changes?” Shah asked the crowd.
UCC to Tackle Infiltration
Shah affirmed the BJP’s commitment to implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). He stated that UCC is essential to curb infiltration. However, he reassured tribals that they would not be affected.
“No one can stop the UCC. It will protect Jharkhand from infiltrators,” Shah declared.
Attack on Opposition Leaders
Shah targeted Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He accused them of opposing necessary changes to the Waqf Board.
“Rahul Gandhi and Hemant Soren say no to reforms. But BJP will amend the Waqf Act regardless of their opposition,” Shah said.
Promise to Curb Illegal Immigration
The home minister pledged to deport illegal immigrants if BJP gains power in Jharkhand. “Trainloads of illegal immigrants will be sent back to Bangladesh,” he warned.
Vision for Jharkhand’s Prosperity
Shah also promised to make Jharkhand the most prosperous state in five years. He assured voters that BJP would establish mineral-based industries and prevent migration for jobs.
“We will recover every paisa looted by JMM and Congress leaders,” he said.
Election Dates Announced
Jharkhand’s assembly elections will be held in two phases, on November 13 and 20. The votes will be counted on November 23.
