Apple Event 2024: iPhone 16, Apple Watch Series 10, and AirPods 4 Unveiled
Apple’s highly anticipated “It’s Glowtime” event kicked off with a bang, showcasing the new iPhone 16 series, Apple Watch Series 10, and AirPods 4. The event highlighted Apple’s push toward integrating artificial intelligence into its devices, marking a major leap in innovation.
iPhone 16 Series Unveiled
Apple CEO Tim Cook introduced the iPhone 16 series, emphasizing that it was built from the ground up with Apple Intelligence. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro Max now feature larger displays of 6.3 and 6.9 inches respectively, and come equipped with the A18 chip, promising up to 30% better sustained performance, especially for gaming. The iPhone 16 also brings advanced camera capabilities. The ultra-wide camera can capture 2.6X more light, enhancing macro photography. It also introduces spatial photos and customizable camera controls through iOS 18. Prices start at $799 for the iPhone 16 and $1199 for the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Apple Watch Series 10 and AirPods 4 Launched
The event also saw the debut of Apple Watch Series 10, featuring a wide-angle OLED display and the fastest charging speed yet. A 30-minute charge delivers over 80% battery life. The watch will be available in a sleek Titanium finish, with prices starting at $399.
Tim Cook also unveiled the AirPods 4, highlighting their popularity as the “most loved headphones in the world.” Priced at $129, the new AirPods come with enhanced sound quality and a clinical over-the-counter hearing aid feature.
AI and Siri Integration
In addition to the hardware updates, Apple revealed more details about its Apple Intelligence platform. This new AI system powers many features of the iPhone 16, including Siri, which now integrates with ChatGPT for more advanced voice commands. This marks Apple’s strong move toward the future of generative AI.
