AR Rahman Expresses His Heartbreak
Following the announcement, Rahman took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his feelings. He described the decision as “shattering” and spoke about the “weight of broken hearts.” In his emotional post, he wrote, “We had hoped to reach the grand thirty, but all things, it seems, carry an unseen end. Even the throne of God might tremble at the weight of broken hearts.”
He thanked his friends for their kindness and respect for their privacy, ending with the hashtag #arrsairaabreakup.
Official Statement from Lawyers
Vandana Shah and Associates, representing the couple, released an official statement confirming the separation.
“After many years of marriage, Mrs. Saira and Mr. AR Rahman have made the difficult decision to separate. This decision follows significant emotional strain in their relationship,” the statement read.
Despite their deep love, the couple acknowledged that the challenges in their relationship had created a gap they could no longer bridge. They requested privacy and understanding as they navigate this challenging period.
Request for Privacy
The couple emphasized the importance of privacy during this time. They urged the public and media to respect their space as they work through the transition.
Rahman and Saira Banu’s separation marks the end of nearly three decades of shared life, love, and family. Their fans and well-wishers have extended support, hoping for healing and peace in their journey ahead.
