Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP chief, strongly criticized the BJP’s poll manifesto for the Delhi elections. He claimed the BJP has no vision and is imitating AAP’s governance model.
BJP’s Manifesto Reflects AAP’s Work
Kejriwal stated, “The BJP’s manifesto essentially says they appreciate Kejriwal’s work. They promise to continue AAP’s initiatives if elected. This shows they lack a clear plan and are contesting on our guarantees.”
The AAP leader pointed out that BJP leaders, including JP Nadda and PM Modi, acknowledged AAP’s success. “Both Nadda and Modi have promised to continue our schemes. If BJP plans to follow Kejriwal’s model, why should people vote for them? Kejriwal will deliver it better,” he remarked.
Concerns Over Mohalla Clinics
Kejriwal expressed concerns about the BJP’s intention to shut down Mohalla clinics. “Their manifesto indicates they’ll demolish these clinics. We will ask Delhi residents if they want Mohalla clinics or not. If you support them, vote for AAP,” he said.
Freebies Debate Intensifies
Kejriwal also accused BJP of hypocrisy on the issue of freebies. “They mocked us for offering benefits, calling them ‘free ki revri.’ Now, their manifesto includes similar promises like ₹2,500 monthly aid for women, cheaper LPG, and pensions for seniors,” he said.
He further demanded PM Modi admit he was wrong to criticize freebies earlier. “The PM should now say that freebies are not harmful but are God’s blessings,” Kejriwal added.
Poll Dates
Delhi will vote for its 70 assembly seats on February 5. Results will be announced on February 8.
The AAP chief’s statements reflect his confidence in AAP’s governance and his criticism of BJP’s strategy for the upcoming elections.
