Ajit Kumar Puri, the so-called doctor, told the family that Krishna needed surgery to remove a gallbladder stone. The family, unaware of his credentials, trusted him. “The vomiting had stopped, but he insisted on surgery. My son died after the procedure,” said the boy’s father, Chandan Shaw.
A shocking case has emerged from Saran district of Bihar. A 15-year-old boy named Krishna Kumar tragically lost his life after a fake doctor allegedly performed surgery based on YouTube videos. The boy had been admitted to Ganpati Hospital in Saran. He was experiencing severe vomiting, and his family had hoped for a simple treatment. However, the situation took a grim turn.

The family later learned that Puri conducted the surgery by watching videos on YouTube. The boy’s grandfather, Prahlad Prasad Shaw, revealed that the operation was done without the family’s consent. “The doctor sent the father away and started operating. When the boy was in pain, he snapped at us, asking if we were doctors,” he said. Tragically, the boy stopped breathing in the evening. Though he was briefly revived with CPR, he passed away en route to Patna.
Adding to the heartbreak, the fake doctor and his team abandoned Krishna’s body on the hospital stairs before fleeing the scene. The police have registered an FIR and are working to locate the self-styled doctor and the missing staff of Ganpati Seva Sadan. Meanwhile, other patients at the hospital have been left unattended after the staff vanished.
This tragic incident highlights the dangers of unqualified medical practitioners and the devastating consequences for families who trust them in desperation.
