BJP Launches Campaign Song for Delhi Elections
BJP released its campaign song, “Bahane Nahi, Badlav Chahiye,” ahead of the Delhi Assembly polls. Sung by BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, the song calls for a change in government, urging Delhiites to vote out the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva said the song reflects the frustration of people with the current government. He accused AAP of breaking promises and setting new records in corruption. “The people of Delhi are tired of being looted. They want BJP to take charge,” he stated at a press conference.
The song was first introduced at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Parivartan Rally in Rohini last week. It has now become a key part of BJP’s election campaign across the city.
Manoj Tiwari Voices Public Sentiment
Manoj Tiwari, a popular singer-actor and three-time BJP MP from North East Delhi, said he felt it was time to give voice to public sentiment.
“There are moments when people’s emotions need to be expressed through music. This song captures that feeling,” said Tiwari at the press event. He even sang a few lines of the song during the conference.
According to Tiwari, the theme song highlights BJP’s core message for the elections. “The song summarises our vision for change in Delhi,” he added.
BJP vs AAP: The Poll Battle
The BJP is yet to release its full manifesto for the Delhi Assembly elections, which are scheduled for February 5. So far, the party has announced candidates for 29 seats. More names are expected soon.
Meanwhile, AAP has already declared its candidates for all 70 constituencies. The party also launched its campaign song, “Phir Layenge Kejriwal,” aiming to retain power in the capital.
The battle for Delhi is heating up as both parties intensify their campaigns. While AAP focuses on its governance record, BJP is banking on anti-incumbency and promises of change.
As the polls approach, both songs — “Bahane Nahi, Badlav Chahiye” and “Phir Layenge Kejriwal” — set the tone for a high-stakes electoral showdown.
