
CISF Jawan Allegedly Ends Life at Surat Airport
A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawan on duty at Surat international airport in Gujarat allegedly shot himself with his service weapon on Saturday afternoon. He was rushed to Sunshine Hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries, police confirmed.
The jawan, a 32-year-old native of Jaipur, Rajasthan, was stationed at the airport for routine security duties. The incident occurred around 2:30 pm.
Investigation Underway
Rajesh Parmar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Zone 6, Surat, said the reason behind the incident is still under investigation.
“The reason behind the incident is currently under investigation,” Parmar stated.
The body of the deceased has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and further details are awaited.

While the police are working to uncover the reason behind the jawan’s drastic step, the incident has sparked concern among airport staff and CISF personnel.
Officials are reviewing his service record and personal background to find any clues that may explain what led to the tragic decision.
