Congress Launches ‘Kisan-Mazdoor Samman Evam Nyay Yatra’ in UP
Congress’s farmer wing, the All India Kisan Congress, will start the ‘Kisan-Mazdoor Samman Evam Nyay Yatra’ in Uttar Pradesh. The party made this announcement on Friday. This march will begin on January 18.
The Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee held a meeting. Ajay Rai, the state leader, led the discussion. They talked about organizing the upcoming yatra.
Ajay Rai spoke at the meeting. He criticized the central and Uttar Pradesh governments. He accused them of doubling down on suppressing farmers, laborers, workers, women farmers, and artisans.
Rai also mentioned the farmers’ movement. He pointed out that the central government had promised a legal guarantee for MSP. However, they now remain silent on this matter.
Akhilesh Shukla, National Vice President of All India Kisan Congress, added details. The yatra will start from Loni border in Ghaziabad. It will follow a schedule. Each district will see the march under local coordinators. National and state leaders will guide the yatra.
During the yatra, they plan to select 300 “Kisan Nyay Yodhas” from each district. After the march, a conference will occur. It will involve representatives from all 75 districts. 22,500 Kisan Yodhas will attend this event.
Shukla outlined future plans. They aim to establish 300 Kisan Nyay Yodhas in every assembly constituency next year. Before the 2027 assembly elections, they plan a mega farmers’ conference. This would include 1,20,900 Kisan Yodhas.
To ensure smooth execution, national coordinators from All India Kisan Congress will manage at the divisional level. Coordinators from other states will handle district coordination. Local Kisan Congress officials in Uttar Pradesh will organize at the grassroots level.
