Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently shared a candid moment during a podcast with Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath. He stated, “I am human and make mistakes. I am not a God.”
In the over two-hour-long YouTube podcast, Modi recounted his early days as Gujarat’s chief minister. He said, “I promised to work hard and never act with bad intentions. Mistakes happen because I’m human.” He called this approach his life’s mantra.
Congress MP Jairam Ramesh quickly responded to Modi’s remarks. Sharing a clip from an old interview, Ramesh criticized the Prime Minister. He said, “This comes from a man who claimed a non-biological status eight months ago.”
Before the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, Modi had made a striking statement in a television interview. He said, “God sent me with strength, purity, and inspiration. I’m just an instrument of God.” Ramesh dismissed Modi’s latest comments as a clear attempt at damage control.
This exchange highlights the ongoing political debate as the country prepares for future elections.
