Mother of Himani Narwal Alleges Political Jealousy Led to Murder
The mother of Himani Narwal, a Haryana Congress worker found dead in a suitcase in Rohtak, blamed political rivalry for her daughter’s murder. She alleged that Himani made enemies within the party due to her rising influence and close ties with senior Congress leaders.
“Congress and Elections Took My Daughter’s Life”
Savita, Himani’s mother, claimed that her daughter’s political associations made her a target. “The election and the party took my daughter’s life. She made enemies. The culprits could be from the party or even her friends,” she told ANI.
She emphasized Himani’s proximity to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the Hooda family. “She was seen with Rahul Gandhi and was close to the Hoodas. People were jealous of her,” she added.
Family Demands Justice
Savita revealed that the police informed them about the tragedy. “We got a call from the police station. My daughter was very close to Asha Hooda, the wife of Bhupinder Singh Hooda. I will not perform her last rites until she gets justice,” she declared.
She also spoke about past tragedies in their family. “My elder son was killed in 2011. We never got justice. After that, I sent my other son to a BSF camp to protect him,” she said.
Himani, a Congress worker for over a decade, had been considering a different career path. “She wanted a job and didn’t want to continue working for the party. She had even agreed to get married. She was pursuing an LL.B.,” her mother shared.
Congress Leaders Demand Probe
Senior Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda called for a fair investigation. “Her body is in the mortuary. Congress workers and local MLAs are present. We demand a strict probe to punish the guilty,” he said.
Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit echoed similar sentiments. “If there is any political angle, the government must take it seriously. A high-level investigation is necessary,” he stated.
The demand for justice grows as authorities investigate the case.
