For the first time ever, singer Diljit Dosanjh introduced his family to his fans. The emotional moment took place during his Dil-Luminati Tour in Manchester on Saturday. Known for being private about his personal life, Diljit surprised the audience when he brought his mother and sister on stage.
Emotional Moment with His Mother and Sister
During the concert, Diljit was seen bowing in front of a woman before embracing her. He proudly announced to the crowd, “By the way, this is my mom.” His mother became emotional, tearing up as he hugged her again. Next, he introduced another woman, saying, “She is my sister. My family has come here today.” The heartwarming moment left the audience cheering as Diljit shared this personal side of his life.
Diljit’s Private Life
Diljit has always been private about his family, rarely speaking about them in public. There have been rumors about his marriage, but the singer has neither confirmed nor denied them. According to a report from The Indian Express, a friend of Diljit claimed he is married to an Indian-American woman and that they have a son who lives in the US. However, Diljit has remained silent on the subject.
In a recent interview with News18 Showsha, singer Ammy Virk shared his views on why Diljit keeps his family private. Ammy said, “It is his personal matter, and there must be a reason he hasn’t introduced them to the world.”
Upcoming India Tour and Film Projects
After his UK tour, Diljit will begin the Indian leg of his Dil-Luminati Tour in October. The tour kicks off on October 26 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi, with additional stops in cities like Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata.
In addition to his concerts, Diljit recently announced his role in the upcoming film Border 2, alongside Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan. Set against the backdrop of the Battle of Longewala, filming for the sequel is expected to begin in November.
