ED Raids AAP Leader Amanatullah Khan’s Residence
This morning, ED Raids AAP leader Amanatullah Khan’s residence, intensifying their investigation into a money laundering case. The case revolves around alleged irregularities in appointments within the Delhi Waqf Board and the leasing of its properties.
Khan Alleges Harassment
In a video statement shared on X, Khan accused the ED of planning to arrest him under the guise of a search. He emphasized that his mother-in-law, a cancer patient recently operated on, is also at his home. Despite informing the ED of this, he believes the agency’s true intent is to detain him.
“They aim to arrest me,” Khan stated. “For two years, they’ve harassed me with false cases and constant interference. They are targeting our entire party to break us down. I urge the people of Okhla to pray for me. Rest assured, we will not be intimidated.”
Tense Exchange with ED Officials
Footage from the scene shows Khan speaking with an ED official through a mesh door, requesting four weeks’ time due to his mother-in-law’s condition. The official, however, questioned why Khan assumed they intended to arrest him. Khan’s wife also expressed frustration, questioning the need to repeatedly search their small home and fearing for her mother’s health.
“If anything happens to my mother, I will take you to court,” she warned the officials.

AAP Leaders Respond
Senior AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh have condemned the BJP-led central government, accusing it of targeting those who oppose it. Sanjay Singh, who was also arrested in a money laundering case, questioned the seriousness of the probe against Khan, noting that the CBI had previously stated in court that no financial crime occurred in this case. Despite a previous raid on Khan’s home last year, ED officials found nothing.

The situation remains tense as Khan continues to deny any wrongdoing, insisting that the raids are politically motivated.
