The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids on the residence and office of AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora on Monday. The searches took place on Chandigarh road in Ludhiana as part of an ongoing money laundering investigation.
Officials confirmed that the 61-year-old MP’s house in Gurugram, Haryana, was also searched, along with properties connected to other individuals in Ludhiana. The raids are linked to a case involving alleged land fraud.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia responded to the raids on social media, stating that the actions are an attempt to weaken their party. He assured supporters that AAP members would not give in to pressure or fear. “We will not stop, we will not be sold, and we will not be scared,” Sisodia declared.
The searches are being conducted under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), with authorities focusing on a land fraud investigation. Earlier, on Saturday, the ED raided properties of real estate businessman Vikas Passi in connection with the Pearl chit fund scam.
This remains a developing story, and further details are expected soon.
