Ghee Unit Employees Accused of Theft
Three employees of a ghee and oil manufacturing unit in Ludhiana have been booked for theft. They allegedly stole adulterated ghee and refined oil that the health department had seized during a raid.
The accused have been identified as Anmol Thapar from Gobind Colony, his brother Abhishek Thapar, and their aide Manu from Kila Mohalla. The case was registered based on a complaint by food safety officer Dr. Tarun Bansal.
Health Department Raid
The health department conducted a raid at the unit in Panchsheel Vihar, Barewal. Officials found large quantities of adulterated desi ghee, vanaspati ghee, and soyabean refined oil. The team seized the material to prevent it from being sold in the market.
However, Dr. Bansal later discovered that the seized material had been stolen and disposed of by the accused.
Police Investigation Underway
ASI Ashwani Kumar, who is investigating the case, confirmed that an FIR has been registered under IPC Sections 186, 201, and 380.

The police have launched a search to arrest the accused. Officials said strict action will be taken to prevent the sale of harmful food products.
