Five Arrested in Haryana by authorities. They have also detained two minors for allegedly killing a man on suspicion of beef consumption. The victim, Sabir Malik, a laborer from Bihar, was targeted by the accused, who believed he had consumed beef, according to police reports.
On August 27, the suspects lured Malik and another laborer to a shop under the guise of selling empty plastic bottles for scrap. Once there, the seven assailants brutally beat the two men.
A video of the assault circulated widely on social media. Unfortunately, Malik succumbed to his injuries, while the other laborer is currently receiving treatment in a hospital, police said.

On the same day, a officer of Haryana Police, Bharat Bhushan, explained that local authorities had received reports of suspected beef being cooked at a nearby slum. Police collected meat samples and sent them to a lab for testing. However, the suspects later took matters into their own hands and attacked the laborers.
The police have launched an investigation and assured that action will be taken. The five arrested in Haryana have been identified as Abhishek, Mohit, Ravinder, Kamaljit, and Sahil.
