Former PM Manmohan Singh Dies at 92
Dr. Manmohan Singh, India’s 13th Prime Minister and one of the nation’s most respected statesmen, passed away today due to age-related health complications. He was 92 years old.
AIIMS Statement
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi released a statement confirming his death. “With profound grief, we inform the demise of former Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh, aged 92. He was being treated for age-related medical conditions and had a sudden loss of consciousness at home on December 26, 2024.”
Medical Emergency
Dr. Singh reportedly collapsed at his residence earlier in the evening. Immediate resuscitative measures were initiated at home before he was rushed to AIIMS, Delhi, at 8:06 PM. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, he could not be revived and was declared dead at 9:51 PM.

Dr. Singh, known for his economic reforms and visionary leadership, served as India’s Prime Minister from 2004 to 2014. His contributions to India’s progress remain unmatched, leaving behind a legacy of wisdom, humility, and service to the nation.
