2025 STEP Internship: Empowering the Next Generation of Innovators
Google is launching its 2025 STEP Internship in India to nurture future software developers and computer scientists. The program focuses on students from underrepresented groups in tech, bridging the gap between classroom learning and professional internships.
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s program with a major in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language.
- Strong English communication skills to engage in technical discussions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Full-time enrollment in a degree program with plans to return after the internship.
- Availability for a 10-12 week internship between May and August 2025.
- Proficiency in programming languages like C++, Java, or Python.

The STEP Internship includes three core components:
- Software Development Project: Collaborate with Googlers and fellow interns on real-world projects.
