The helicopter took off from Juhu in Mumbai and was heading to Hyderabad when it encountered severe weather conditions. It crashed in the Paud area of Pune. The captain, identified as Anand, sustained injuries in the crash and was rushed to Sadar Hospital for treatment.
Background and Similar Incidents
This incident comes just months after a similar helicopter crash occurred in Maharashtra. In May, a private helicopter, on its way to pick up Shiv Sena Deputy Leader Sushma Andhare, crashed while landing in Mahad town, Raigad. Fortunately, the pilot managed to jump off before the crash and survived.
