IIM Calcutta has extended the registration period for the Common Admission Test (CAT) to September 20, 2024, at 5 PM. Eligible candidates who wish to take the entrance exam can now sign up on the official CAT 2024 website until the new deadline. The previous deadline was September 13.
Admit cards for CAT 2024 will be released on November 5, with the exam scheduled for November 24. The test will be held in 170 cities across India. General category candidates will pay an examination fee of Rs 2,500, while those in reserved categories will pay Rs 1,250.

How to Apply for CAT 2024:
- Register to receive a unique user ID and password.
- Log in with these credentials to fill out the application form.
- Submit the form after entering details and completing the online payment.
- Domestic candidates will verify their mobile number and email address via OTP. Overseas candidates will receive the OTP only on their email.
- After OTP verification, the user ID and password will be sent to the registered email and mobile number.
Once the payment is processed and the form is submitted, no changes can be made.
Eligibility Criteria for CAT 2024: Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA. Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates need at least 45%.
Revised Application Fees: The fee has been increased to Rs 2,500 for general candidates and Rs 1,250 for reserved category candidates.
Seat Reservation: Seats are reserved as follows: 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, 27% for NC-OBC, and 10% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
