Kejriwal Responds to Rahul Gandhi’s Criticism, Calls It a Congress Survival Fight
AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal hit back at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying Gandhi’s battle is not for the nation but to revive his party.
“Rahul Gandhi came to Delhi today and abused me a lot. I won’t respond to his statements. His fight is to save Congress. My fight is to save the country,” Kejriwal posted on X in Hindi.
Rahul Gandhi Accuses Kejriwal of Mimicking PM Modi
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi addressed a rally in Delhi’s Seelampur, where he compared Arvind Kejriwal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Congress leader accused Kejriwal of failing to make Delhi corruption-free. He also claimed that both leaders make false promises.
“Remember Delhi when Sheila Dikshit was CM? Kejriwal promised to clean Delhi and end corruption. But has he made Delhi corruption-free? No. He campaigns just like Modi,” Rahul Gandhi said.
Rahul Gandhi on Caste Census and Inflation
Gandhi also targeted both Kejriwal and Modi for ignoring caste census demands. He alleged that both leaders don’t want backward communities, Dalits, tribals, and minorities to get their due rights.
“Ask Modi and Kejriwal if they support the caste census. Congress will conduct a caste census when we form a government in Delhi,” he said.
Gandhi further accused both leaders of failing to address inflation.
“Inflation is at its peak. The poor are getting poorer, while the rich are becoming richer. Have you ever seen Modi or Kejriwal criticize Adani? They don’t, because billionaires fund them,” Gandhi added.
BJP and AAP Prepare for Delhi Elections
The Delhi Assembly election is set for February 5. The counting of votes will take place on February 8.
As political campaigns heat up, Kejriwal and Rahul Gandhi are likely to face more direct confrontations in the coming days.
