LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2024-25: A Financial Opportunity for Students
The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) offers the Golden Jubilee Scholarship for students from economically weaker sections. The scholarship supports those who have completed Class 10 or 12 and wish to pursue higher studies. Selected candidates will receive financial assistance of up to ₹40,000 per year.
LIC is a government-owned life insurance company that supports education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation. It aims to provide financial aid to deserving students for their educational growth.
Eligibility Criteria
General Scholarship:
- Must have passed Class 10 or 12 (or its equivalent).
- Minimum 60% marks (or equivalent grade).
- Must be enrolled in a government-recognized college or ITI (Industrial Training Institute) for higher education.
- Family income should not exceed ₹2,50,000 per year.
Special Scholarship for Girl Child:
- Must have passed Class 10 (or equivalent) in the 2023-24 academic year.
- Minimum 60% marks (or equivalent grade).
- Enrolled in a government-recognized college or ITI for higher education.
- Family income should not exceed ₹2,50,000 per year.
Additional Notes:
- The scholarship is for undergraduate or equivalent courses (not applicable for postgraduate studies).
- Income limit can go up to ₹4,00,000 for single mothers or women who are the sole earning members of the family.

- Complete the form, upload necessary documents, and submit.
After submission, you will receive an acknowledgment on the provided email ID.

Selection Process
The selection process is merit-based. A total of 30 students will be shortlisted, with 20 receiving the general scholarship (10 males and 10 females). An additional 10 females will be awarded the Special Scholarship for Girl Child. The LIC Divisional Office will make the final decision.
Key Terms & Conditions
- Candidates cannot receive scholarships from other institutions, except for government-funded scholarships for SC/ST students.
- Lateral entry students (into engineering) must have a minimum of 60% marks in their previous diploma year.
- Scholarships are not available for correspondence or part-time courses.
- To retain the scholarship, students must maintain a specific academic performance:
- Medical/Engineering Streams: At least 55% in the previous year’s exams.
- Other Undergraduate Programs: At least 50% in the previous year’s exams.
If a student violates the terms or uses false information, the scholarship will be canceled, and they may need to repay any funds received.
