Luxury Car Owned by BJP Leader’s Son Involved in Nagpur Accident
A luxury car belonging to Sanket Bawankule, the son of Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule, was involved in a road accident in Nagpur. The 14-second video footage shows the Audi speeding past a busy crossing, ramming into a car and then a moped. The crash occurred around 1 a.m. and left two moped riders injured.

Arrests and Investigation
Five people were inside the car at the time of the incident. While Sanket and two others managed to flee, the driver and another occupant were arrested. Sources revealed that the group had been returning from a beer bar, and the blood samples of the arrested individuals have been sent for testing.
Inspector Anamika Mirjhapure from Sitabuldi Police Station confirmed the arrest of Arjun Hawre and Ronit Chittamwar. She explained that the Audi had hit multiple vehicles, prompting one of the affected drivers to chase the car and stop it near Mankapur bridge.
BJP Leader’s Response
Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule acknowledged that the car was registered in his son’s name. He emphasized that the law should apply equally to all and urged the police to conduct an impartial investigation. “The law must be equal for all,” he stated, assuring that appropriate action would be taken if anyone is found guilty.
The investigation is ongoing as police continue to gather details about the incident.
