Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, was recently spotted with Pakistani politician Sharmila Faruqui at Disneyland Paris. Ambani, currently in Paris with his family, including wife Nita Ambani and daughter Isha Ambani, is expected to attend some events of the upcoming Paris Olympics.

Sharmila Saheba Faruqui is a notable politician from Pakistan, associated with Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). Born on January 25, 1978, she has served twice as a member of the Sindh Assembly. She comes from a prominent political family; her maternal grandfather was N M Uqaili, a former Pakistan Minister of Finance, and her uncle is Salman Faruqui, a close associate of President Asif Ali Zardari. Her father, Usman Farooqi, was a PPP leader and former chairman of Pakistan Steel Mills, who passed away in 2021.

Despite her family’s involvement in several controversies, including allegations of embezzlement from Pakistan Steel Mills, Sharmila has pursued a successful career in politics. She completed her MBA from the Adamson Institute of Business Administration and Technology in Karachi and holds a PhD in Law, awarded in 2023.
Sharmila is married to Hashaam Riaz Sheikh, a former Wall Street investment banker and advisor to President Asif Ali Zardari. Their 2015 wedding was one of Pakistan’s most lavish events, lasting 15 days, with performances by notable artists including Sukhbir Singh. The couple has a six-year-old son named Hussain.
