Nargis Fakhri gained fame with Rockstar alongside Ranbir Kapoor. In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, she shared her struggles with certain aspects of the industry. One of her main challenges is Bollywood dancing, which she describes as “alien” to her.
Nargis Fakhri explained that learning Bollywood dance routines was tough for her. The fast-paced learning process, with complex movements, left her feeling out of sync. “The heaving and thrusting movements were difficult for me at first,” she admitted. Her background in Western dance made it even harder to adjust to Bollywood’s unique style. “Bollywood dance is as alien to me as Hindi,” she confessed. Over time, however, she found a way to adapt.
Nargis took a break from Bollywood after Torbaaz in 2020. She returned with Shiv Shastri Balboa, starring Anupam Kher and Neena Gupta. While she didn’t go into specifics, she mentioned facing an “unfortunate situation” that prevented her from returning sooner. However, the industry’s demands, including catering to male egos, did not drive her away.
Currently, Nargis is shooting for Housefull 5, directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The movie features a star-studded cast, including Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, and many others. It’s set to hit theaters later this year.
