Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Ravichandran Ashwin on his outstanding cricket career spanning 14 years. The off-spinner stunned fans by announcing his retirement after the Brisbane Test against Australia ended in a draw.
Ravichandran Ashwin career stats are nothing short of legendary. He retired with 537 Test wickets at an average of 24. He also contributed 3,503 runs with six centuries in Tests. In limited-overs cricket, he took 156 ODI and 72 T20I wickets.
