PM Modi’s Social Media to Feature Women Achievers on March 8
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that on March 8, to celebrate International Women’s Day, he will hand over his social media accounts to women achievers from various fields.
In his Mann Ki Baat address, Modi said these inspiring women will share their journeys and experiences, highlighting their contributions to society.
“Let us celebrate and respect the indomitable spirit of women,” Modi said, appreciating the rising participation of women across different sectors.
This is not the first time the Prime Minister has done this. In 2020, he handed over his social media platforms to seven leading women on Women’s Day, drawing global attention. With millions of followers across X, Instagram, and YouTube, his accounts will serve as a powerful platform for women’s voices.
PM Modi Warns Against Rising Obesity in India
Apart from women’s empowerment, Modi also raised concerns over obesity, urging people to adopt healthier habits. He highlighted research stating that:
✅ 1 in 8 people in India suffer from obesity.
✅ The number of obese individuals has doubled in recent years.
✅ Among children, obesity has quadrupled, making it a serious issue.
To encourage better health, Modi challenged people to reduce their oil consumption by 10%. He also asked them to pass on the challenge to 10 others, creating a ripple effect.
Appeal for Science and Stress-Free Exams
In the radio broadcast, Modi urged people to:
Explore science by visiting research labs or planetariums on National Science Day.
Stay stress-free during board exams, reminding students that Pariksha Pe Charcha has been widely appreciated for promoting a positive exam mindset.
With Women’s Day, fitness awareness, and scientific curiosity on his agenda, PM Modi continues to engage with the public on key national issues.
