Priyanka Gandhi Denies Scuffle Allegations Against Rahul Gandhi
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra dismissed allegations against Rahul Gandhi of pushing BJP MPs outside Parliament. Speaking on Thursday, she defended her brother, calling the claims a conspiracy to protect Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
“Rahul ji was peacefully entering Parliament, carrying Dr. BR Ambedkar’s photo and chanting ‘Jai Bhim,’” Priyanka said. She accused BJP members of blocking his entry and engaging in disruptive behavior. “You can see who stopped him. We have been protesting peacefully for days, but today they showed ‘goonda-gardi,’” she added.
During the ongoing Parliament protests by the INDIA bloc, Priyanka alleged that senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge was pushed and fell. “Kharge ji was shoved, and a CPM MP fell over him. This is part of their conspiracy,” she said. Priyanka challenged BJP MPs to chant “Jai Bhim” as proof of their respect for Ambedkar.
BJP Claims Rahul Gandhi Injured Two MPs
The BJP accused Rahul Gandhi of injuring MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput during the scuffle. Sarangi reportedly suffered a head injury, and both MPs are currently hospitalized. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey called Rahul’s actions “rowdy behavior” and demanded accountability.
In response, Rahul Gandhi denied the allegations. He claimed BJP MPs pushed and threatened him while he tried to enter Parliament. He also mentioned that Mallikarjun Kharge was shoved during the incident.
The clash marks an escalation in tensions between Congress and BJP over remarks made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Dr. BR Ambedkar. As the winter session continues, the confrontation underscores the deepening divide between the ruling and opposition parties.
