3,318 Students Visit Punjab Vidhan Sabha in 2024
Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan directed the Education Department to arrange visits for students. This initiative helps them understand the legislative process. Students can visit on both session and non-session days to observe governance firsthand.
Sandhwan shared that 155 students attended Vidhan Sabha sessions in 2022, while 900 visited on non-session days. The numbers increased in 2023, with 990 students attending sessions and 1,157 visiting on non-session days.
In 2024, the trend continued. A total of 998 students observed the proceedings during session days. Additionally, 2,320 students visited on non-session days. Sandhwan personally met many students and enjoyed interacting with them.
He highlighted that these visits spark student interest in politics and governance. Observing constitutional proceedings helps strengthen democracy. Sandhwan assured students that their visit would benefit them in the future. Many were fascinated by the Vidhan Sabha’s architecture and design.
