Ramesh Bidhuri Refutes CM Candidate Claims
Ramesh Bidhuri, BJP’s candidate for the Kalkaji seat, dismissed claims made by AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal alleged that Bidhuri would be BJP’s chief ministerial face in Delhi. Bidhuri, a former MP, called these statements false propaganda.
In a public statement, Bidhuri emphasized his loyalty to the BJP. He clarified he was not seeking any position. “The party has given me much. I claim no post. Kejriwal’s statements are baseless and misleading,” he said.
Kejriwal Admits BJP’s Strength?
Bidhuri pointed out that Kejriwal’s comments indirectly acknowledged BJP’s rising popularity. “By announcing my name as CM face, Kejriwal accepts that BJP will win Delhi polls,” Bidhuri remarked. He accused Kejriwal of fearing public anger due to issues like the liquor, education, and health scams.
Appeal to Delhi Voters
Bidhuri urged Delhi residents to vote for BJP, promising dedicated service. “Do not fall for AAP’s trap. BJP works for Delhi’s betterment,” he stated. He reaffirmed his commitment to serving both the party and the people.
Kejriwal Challenges BJP
On Saturday, Kejriwal challenged Bidhuri to a public debate. He claimed Bidhuri’s name would soon be announced as BJP’s CM candidate. However, Union Home Minister Amit Shah dismissed these claims, asserting the party would decide its CM face later.
Delhi’s assembly elections will occur on February 5, with results announced on February 8.
