Sanjay Singh Hits Out at PM Modi Over Delhi Elections
AAP MP Sanjay Singh launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi over BJP’s strategy for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections. He mocked the BJP for not announcing a chief ministerial candidate, comparing it to a “marriage procession without a groom.”
Singh said that Modi’s speeches won’t impact the elections in Delhi. He claimed that Delhi residents take pride in Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership and governance.
“PM Modi’s speech won’t change the ground reality. People of Delhi stand with Arvind Kejriwal because of his work. The BJP has already lost this battle,” Singh remarked.
Accusations Against BJP’s Anti-Poor Policies
Sanjay Singh also accused the BJP of being anti-poor. He criticized the party for demolishing slums and displacing poor families in Delhi. According to him, BJP’s policies reflect their disconnect from the common man.
“They bulldozed homes where the poor live. Instead of solving people’s problems, they focus on attacks. The BJP should not worry — they have already lost badly in Delhi,” Singh added.
Modi’s Call to Remove AAP Government
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to Delhi voters to remove the AAP government and give BJP a chance. Addressing a rally in Rohini, Modi claimed that the BJP-led central government carried out all the development work in the capital.
“We want to make Delhi the capital of a Viksit Bharat. The people of Delhi deserve a bright future. Only the BJP can deliver that. Over the last 10 years, Delhi has suffered under AAP’s misrule, turning every season into an emergency,” PM Modi said.
Kejriwal Responds to Modi’s Remarks
Reacting to Modi’s comments, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the BJP delayed several key projects in the national capital. He claimed that these projects wouldn’t have been inaugurated without AAP’s cooperation.
“These projects wouldn’t have seen the light of day if we hadn’t worked with the Centre despite their continuous harassment of our leaders. While they abuse us, we keep working for the people,” Kejriwal said.
Kejriwal further stated that the BJP should focus on fulfilling the promises they made to the people of Delhi Dehat instead of engaging in political attacks.
Delhi Election Showdown
With the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections approaching, the battle between AAP and BJP is heating up. PM Modi is focusing on “Viksit Bharat”, while AAP continues to highlight local governance and development.
The coming months will determine if Delhi voters will stick with AAP’s governance or give BJP a chance at power. For now, the war of words shows no sign of slowing down.
