During a mass marriage event on December 15, 2023, where 217 couples wed, two already-married couples remarried under the scheme. A case of siblings marrying was also reported. Local residents exposed the fraud by filing complaints with the authorities. Reports claim a municipal employee orchestrated the fake marriages to siphon funds. Authorities Take Action Following the complaints, SDM Ved Singh Chauhan ordered a thorough investigation. He assured strict action against those involved.
