Protests Against Sambhal Killings Intensify Students from Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) held protests this week over the recent killings of five Muslim community members in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. Police firing during a protest at the Shahi Jama Masjid reportedly led to the deaths of six young men, including Noman, Naeem, and Mohd Bilal Ansari. Jamia Students Condemn Police Action On November 27, Jamia students organized a protest led by groups like the Fraternity Movement and AISA. They accused the police of targeting Muslims and condemned the aggressive action during the mosque survey.
