Rajasthan Minister Threatens to Burn Textbooks Praising Akbar Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar has vowed to burn any textbooks that describe Mughal Emperor Akbar as "great." He made this bold statement during an event at Mohanlal Sukhadia University in Udaipur on Sunday. He called this comparison an insult to both Maharana Pratap and the state of Rajasthan. Dilawar described Maharana Pratap as a protector of the people who never bowed down, while accusing Akbar of causing many deaths for personal gain. He further stated that calling Akbar "great" is an act of foolishness. Textbook Review Announced Dilawar also announced the formation of a committee to review school textbooks. The committee's goal is to remove any content that may negatively portray national heroes or create a sense of inferiority among students. He cited examples of textbooks that allegedly question the patriotism of prominent historical figures. Furthermore, the minister condemned those who praise Akbar in school textbooks, labeling them as the "biggest enemies of the Mewar region and Rajasthan."
