The survey followed a petition claiming that the mosque was constructed over a Harihar temple demolished by Mughal Emperor Babur in 1529. While officials attempted the survey earlier, it was postponed to Sunday to avoid interference with prayers. Despite the violence, authorities completed the survey with videography and photography, adhering to court directives. The survey report will be submitted by November 29. Political Reactions The Samajwadi Party chief, Akhilesh Yadav, called for the Supreme Court to address the "conspiracy to spread tension" in the name of surveys.
