Uttar Pradesh renames eight railway stations in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow division following an order issued on Tuesday. The Competent Authority approved the changes, which affect several key stations in the region. The Secretary-General of IRCA, New Delhi, will issue the necessary updates to reflect the new names and codes. Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav criticized the Uttar Pradesh government for focusing on renaming stations rather than improving their conditions. He expressed his concerns on social media, urging the administration to prioritize railway safety. Yadav posted on X, "I request the BJP government to change not just the names but also the conditions of the railway stations.
