A grim discovery was made in Goregaon, Mumbai, where a man was found dead on the road outside his apartment. When locals couldn’t reach his wife and found the door locked, they noticed a key around the man’s neck, worn like a locket. The subsequent revelation was even more horrifying: his wife was dead inside the apartment.
The tragic sequence of events started early Friday morning when 58-year-old Kishore Pednekar was found lifeless on the road in front of Topiwala Mansion in Jawahar Nagar. Kishore, a gym equipment salesman, had apparently jumped to his death. Locals who discovered his body immediately contacted the police, but Kishore was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.

Police efforts to inform Kishore’s wife, Rajshree, were futile as she did not answer repeated calls. Upon reaching their flat, officers found the door locked from the inside. They noticed two keys hanging around Kishore’s neck. Using these keys, they unlocked the flat and encountered a horrifying sight.
Rajshree, a 57-year-old therapist, was found dead in the hall. She had been strangled, and like her husband, was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. The initial assumption is that Kishore killed his wife before taking his own life, according to the police.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Kishore, who was reportedly suffering from severe depression, had planned the deaths. Inside the flat, police found several medications prescribed for depression and diabetes. Before ending his life, he booked a flight from Delhi to Mumbai for his son and sent detailed bank account information to a relative via WhatsApp.
The couple’s son resides in Delhi. A case has been registered, and the investigation is ongoing.
