UGC NET 2024 Results Likely to Be Announced Today: Over 9 Lakh Candidates Await
The CSIR UGC NET June 2024 results are expected to be announced soon. This highly anticipated exam, organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA), saw participation from over 9 lakh candidates. The results will determine eligibility for assistant professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) roles at Indian universities and educational institutions.
The final answer key was made available on the official website on October 13, 2024, giving students a chance to review their answers.
UGC NET Result 2024: Steps to Check Your Scorecard
- Visit the official NTA website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
- On the homepage, find the link to download the UGC NET June scorecard.
- Enter your login credentials, which include your application number and date of birth.
- Click “Submit” and download your scorecard.
The national-level UGC NET exam was conducted on August 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29, 30 and September 2, 3, 4, and 5 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
The June exam, however, faced disruptions and was cancelled a day after due to concerns over the test’s integrity. A re-test was conducted, exclusively in the CBT format, unlike the previous exam which had a hybrid model of CBT + pen-and-paper mode.
About the UGC NET Exam
The exam was held from August 21 to September 4, 2024, in a computer-based test (CBT) format. The exam featured multiple-choice questions and consisted of two papers:
- Paper 1:
- 50 questions
- Total marks: 100
- Paper 2:
- 100 questions
- Total marks: 200
Candidates were given 3 hours to complete both papers. The exam covered a broad spectrum of 83 subjects, including English, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Punjabi.
This examination plays a key role in determining candidates’ eligibility for assistant professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) roles across universities and educational institutions in India.
